Fourth Edition Updates

jospar.com is now up-to-date with PMBOK® Guide — Fourth Edition. The site has been extensively updated.

Updates include:

  • Rows in the knowledge browser have been added for chapters 1-3
  • Synchronize to PMBOK® Guide page number feature added.
  • Search moved down closer to knowledge browser
  • Self-test questions now have many more types of questions, including Earned Value Management and Critical Path Method.
  • For REPs and PMOs. Jospar.com is now available as a ‘white-label’ service.
  • The “learner’s tip” feature has been removed — temporarily.

Beta Launched

jospar.com is now ready for beta testing. The site is in its 4th iteration. The first iteration was static html, second was hand-coded PHP, the third incorporated Smarty templating and this iteration moved jospar.com to be a plug-in for Wordpress.

Mastering the Project Management Body of Knowledge?  Check out the updates to jospar.com!

January has been a busy month.  Here are the visible changes to the site.

  • Search
    • is easier to find! The magnifying glass icon is a hint!
    • Search results are easier to read. They are formatted more closely to the ‘google’ standard for search results.
  • The topic pop up.
    • Navigation across topics is now easier.  The popup delay has been increased.
    • Web search results are of higher quality. Search now employs semantic search techniques to focus on relevant results.
    • Popup is now easier to scan.  Reduced the number of search results displayed to four.
    • Easier to search the web for related information. Added one-click link to search Google, Yahoo or Live for further results.
  • Contact Us
    • Please let us know what you think of this service. Your ideas are always welcome via the new Contact Us page.
  • Username is now shown with the Login Log out link.
  • Self-Test
    • It is now slightly harder to cheat on the self-test. The PMBOK® Guide details shown behind the questions are now greyed out while answering a question.
