Visual Arrangement
All the concepts in the PMBOK®Guide — Fourth Edition (like “Develop Project Charter” and “Expert Judgment”) are arranged into a colored knowledge browser. Each concept has its own position on the knowledge browser’s grid.

The PMBOK®Guide processes are always visible, when not in focus, they are colored in a soft gray color.
Focus your attention
Mastery of the over 800 concepts.defined in PMBOK®Guide is easier when you do not need to try and comprehend them all at one time. jospar.com is designed to allow you to focus your attention on a particular concept and it’s related concepts.

When you open the knowledge browser you will see the “Develop Project Charter” process highlighted. You will also see related Inputs I| , Tools & Techniques
and Outputs O|.
PMBOK®Guide definitions and cross-references
To view the definition of any concept, simply hover the mouse over the concept! After a short delay a popup will appear that shows the PMBOK®Guide reference for the concept, its definition, relevant web links and links to other search engines. Here is an example.

To close the popup, simply move your mouse outside the popup and it will close automatically.
See Related Keywords
To see other PMBOK®Guide Keywords related to a concept, click the green triangle under the concept. Click here:

And the related keywords will appear on the screen. Here is an example:
Click again to hide the related Keywords.
Explore Connections
If you click on the “Project Charter” concept, the view will change. Here it is.

As you can see, now the “Project Charter” output is the focus of the knowledge browser. Now surrounding it, you can see the processes that it is output from, or input to. Click on any process, input, tool, technique or output and see the related concepts. Go for it and explore!
Search for related information
To search for further information about a concept – mouse over it and then click on a search link at the bottom of the popup:
In addition you can search the PMBOK® Guide using the search box at the top right of the screen.

The search box searches in both the name of the concept and also in its definition. Try searching for ‘phase’ as a good example.
Test your Mastery of the PMBOK®Guide
Click on the ‘Self-Test’ menu item to being the self test.

Use the drop-down menu to choose which chapters of PMBOK®Guide you would like to be tested on. Once you choose your answer, the correct answer will be shown. The questions never repeat and never run out! The self-test window will stay on the screen while you are using it. The window will close once your mouse leaves the self-test window.
Review your progress
You can review your progress in mastering the PMBOK®Guide at any time by clicking on the “My Score Card” link at the top of the self-test window.
